Warrenton Paranormal Research Society
www.meetup.com/Warrenton-Paranormal-Research-Society
Welcome To Warrenton Paranormal Research Society NOTE: Heather Lynn Keesling are the ONLY members of Warrenton Paranormal Research Society with the authority to book an investigation, a media interview, or to arrange a joint investigation with another unit! Please advise us via email at ghostprobe@gmail.com if you are approached by anyone other than Heather Lynn Keesling As a Ghost Hunting Unit, WPRS concentrates our research on the preliminary interviews and the base investigations. Our primary objective is to either substantiate the report of our client, or find a reasonable explanation for what they are experiencing. Our equipment includes, but is not limited to, audio and video recorders, EMF meters, motion sensors, and temperature guns. WPRS???s investigations have included historical sites, private homes and commercial properties. The primary function of the investigations is to be able to document paranormal activity, thereby giving credence to the client that the activity is real and not imagined. If, during the investigation, we find that there is a reasonable explanation for the activity, that will also be reported. After the investigation a written report will be presented, along with a digital copy of all photos and audio on CD. The standard WPRS team will consist of two-to-four investigators. All of whom have been involved in multiple investigations. It is our policy to insure that no damage is done to any of the client???s property. Therefore, all of our equipment is hand held or on tripods, we do not string cables or use tape on any surfaces So we???re ghost hunters. What does that mean? The first investigation for some of the team members. When we get a request to come into a building or onto a property, we first conduct an interview with the residents to gather a history of the property. We ask for reports of anything unusual (apparitions, floating objects, strange noises, etc.). These reports give us the information we need to prepare the correct equipment for the job. During the investigation we will usually split up into two teams. Each team will have digital recorders, digital cameras, and digital thermometers along with electromagnetic field (EMF) meters. We will station ourselves in different areas where the reports have been made. We will be working in a ???lights-out??? mode. A lot of what we do is trying to get an EVP (electronic voice phenomenon) and photos while sitting quietly in a room. This is accomplished by asking the entity to respond to different questions, hoping that the answers will be caught on the digital recorders. We are not there to chase out the entity, but to document its presence. Paranormal Activity Ratings During our investigations we have developed our own rating system of the level of activity at a property. You will find these ratings on each investigation report. The Paranormal Level Ratiings run from 1 - 5 (see below): P-1 - Minimal Activity (Just feelings) P-2 - Active (A few noises, etc.) P-3 - Substantial Activity (EVPs, Footsteps, etc.) P-4 - Haunted (Disembodied Voices, Shadows, Moving Objects) P-5 - Very Haunted (Apparitions, etc.) What we have learned. Probably the first thing we learned was to throw out everything that had been told to us over the years. ? Primarily, activity does not just occur at night. There is no ???witching hour???. Activity can and has happened at all hours of the day, or night. In fact, many of the stories we have heard have been about things happening in the morning hours. ? Not all 'stories' are fiction. Many are based on fact. Through research, we have found several 'tales' have a foundation of truth in them. ? Return visits to a site are sometimes necessary. You don't always find something on the first visit. As we have learned, it is possible to gain a rapport with the entities and they will eventually 'come out to play'. ? Just when you think the night is not going to be productive something will sneak up behind you and tap you on the shoulder. ALWAYS have a recorder going and a camera ready, even on a walk-through. Remember we are Paramormal Investigators, not Ghost Hunters. We don't go in saying everything is a ghost. We find out if it's above the normal and go from there. Nothing against ghost hunters we just don't jump to conclusions http://www.warrentonparanormalresearchsociety.net http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/WarrentonParanormalResearchSociety/ http://groupspaces.com/ParanormalResearchSociety/ http://groups.google.com/group/warrenton-paranormal-research-society?hl=en http://warrentonparanormalresearchsociety.grouply.com/ http://www.paranormalresourcealliance.org/

Taps promises to bring professionalism, personality, and confidentiality to each case we investigate. We understand that it is tough to call someone like us, and we respect your right to privacy. We bring recording devices to your home to capture evidence of paranormal activity, but they are only used with the homeowner's permission. We will not share or publish any of the media or any details of the case outside of the close-knit TAPS group. More sensitive cases will be dealt with by the founders and be held under the most strict confidence. We are not amateurs. We have had extensive experience. Part of what we have learned is the psychology of making someone feel comfortable during these times of fear and uncertainty. We will bring a levelheaded and comfortable atmosphere into your home, in essence, taking care of the most important thing, your discomfort. We will then help you to understand some of the nature of the problem supplying you with the information to understand why this is happening and how little danger is actually involved. We will listen to your experiences and concerns. Then we will set up equipment and begin trying to recreate and debunk personal experiences in an attempt to find good evidence either for or against paranormal activity. We will then share our findings with you and come to a conclusion. You are welcome to copies of any of the recorded media and our phones are open to you should you continue to need comfort or help. We do this free of charge. We will not accept any money for this service whatsoever. Any expenses which may arise are covered by the team. Remember, though we like to have fun, we understand the fear and the seriousness of your situation. We are after all, normal people. Heck, I don't think we even watch Star Trek. ha ha ha. So, if you are having trouble dealing with paranormal influences in your life, contact TAPS, and we will commit to do our very best to help you.

About Haunted North Carolina Paranormal Research and Investigations
www.hauntednc.com/index.html
We are a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization based in North Carolina that is dedicated to the research and investigation of haunting and ghost phenomena, the collection of data related to these events and sharing of information. Since 1992, we have worked to observe, record and study ghosts and hauntings looking for all possibilities in an accepted scientifically oriented method. We are looking for the preponderance of evidence. Because these events happen "in the field" rather than in a laboratory or other controlled location, we feel it is even more important to use great care and sound methods. We continue to develop theories

Haunted Collector
www.syfy.com/hauntedcollector
Do you ever feel like the eyes of a portrait might be following you across the room? Or, did you notice that a pen has mysteriously shifted from the location you last placed it? Sure, it could be a coincidence...or it could be paranormal. Ghosts and spirits inhabit more than just homes and buildings - they can live in objects, too. This summer, John Zaffis and his family are on a mission to ease your suspicions. The Zaffis family are renowned paranormal investigators, tracking down haunted items like paintings, guns, jewelry and dolls. Once identified, these obscure items are collected and stored in the family's museum, helping John's clients bring normalcy back to their lives.

Paranormal Research Organisation of Western Australia
www.prowa.org/
Who we are PROWA, the Paranormal Research Organisation of Western Australia is newly formed to meet not only the community need in WA for information and peace of mind involving unexplained events attributed to the paranormal, but also to move towards a methodology that fulfils the scientific communities need for better quality researchable evidence of unexplained activity. We are new to the paranormal investigation community and hope that we can grow with community and client needs. What we do PROWA proposes to offer a realistic and evidence based approach to data collection and analysis of alleged paranormal activity. We do this by adopting a more rigorous methodology with a goal to ensuring that our inquiring minds are also kept open to both the possibilities for unexplained phenomena and scientific explanations that such events offer. Primary to our goals are: HONESTY and peace of mind in relation to data and delivering the best possible, focused, information on unexplained phenomenon for both Community and Commercial cases. DEDICATION to further the development of the field of paranormal investigation through high quality research worthy data collection in relation to paranormal phenomenon. We intend to undertake these events in conjunction with the scientific community???s consultation in regards to methodology, analysis and theory wherever possible. We have a team with diverse technical, and cultural backgrounds as well as a practical understanding of basic science techniques and protocols. We also foster a wide network of professionals who are able to act as consultants in Engineering, Medicine and Media in order to analyse collected data properly. Also at our disposal are networks of academics and practitioners within the University system of varying backgrounds which are useful in the accumulation of academic quality knowledge that may help support rational analysis of any collected data. Both Co founders are based in tertiary education and this is how we are able to keep such networks open. Team approach Both co-founders have had personal experiences with unexplained phenomenon and while this has spurred an interest in the field, both team members??? backgrounds have equally inspired a healthy level of scepticism of most of the data they have seen presented as 'evidence'. This healthy sceptical approach is encouraged amongst the team. Likewise, respect for and knowledge of the paranormal coupled with their own personal experiences allows for the possibilities for the existence of such events to be equally tenable in our group. The amount of information available on these phenomenon and the questions the team are left with regarding the bulk of that data is what has truly spurred on this desire to collect meaningful and scientifically useful information on the possibility of paranormal phenomenon. PROWA approach this as both open and healthily sceptical and the goal in this respect is to further the field of useful paranormal researchable data collection as well as providing support for people affected by such events. The team so far is intentionally kept small for both data integrity and client comfort though larger investigations can be catered for.

Fire and ICE Paranormal Investigators of Florida
www.fireandiceparanormal.com/
Fire and ICE Paranormal Investigators of Florida is a nonprofit organization, and does not charge for our investigative services. First and foremost, our primary concern is our clients and their families, and we bring professionalism, confidentiality, and the highest standard of ethics and protocols to each and every investigation. We understand that calling on a team to investigate a private home or property is not an easy decision, and above all else, we respect your right to privacy. Therefore, we do not identify evidence that is captured from residential locations on our website. We are one of the most respected teams in Southwest Florida. As a result, a majority of our cases are referrals from other paranormal investigative teams, spiritual groups, research organizations, and ghost hunters, and we will make every effort to educate and assist those who are experiencing unexplained paranormal activity. Every case is unique and therefore, handled differently. In the event children are involved, then that case becomes our priority. We will not negative provoke because we understand our clients still have to live in the location after we leave. We are not ghost hunters, amateurs, hobbyists, or beginners. We are a specialized group of uniquely trained and highly dedicated investigators of paranormal and non-paranormal activity. We are referred to as Haunting Resolutionists. A Haunting Resolutionist determines what the issues are, and then makes every effort to resolve them. We share our findings with our client, come to a conclusion, and then put together a "game plan" to resolve those issues. We do this by bridging the gap between spirituality and science. Because you need a balance of the two, we merge mediumship and technology together. We use highly sensitive recording devices in an attempt to capture scientific evidence of paranormal activity, so as to validate the spiritual side. We also use mediums and sensitive???s to complement the scientific side. Fire and ICE Paranormal Investigators of Florida is founded on principles of inclusion and cooperation, and we actively work and network with other paranormal groups and investigators from across the country. Alexandria Paranormal Investigations, is a established paranormal research group based in Alexandria Virginia. We offer our services to communities in Virginia, Maryland, Washington DC, West Virginia, North Carolina, Delaware and Pennsylvania. A.P.I. is a serious paranormal research group formed to help communities with hauntings and other unexplained phenomena. Our group consists of professional men and women who take a scientific approach to helping people that are experiencing things they may not understand. We realize people call us as a last resort because they may be thought of as crazy by others. We do not think that and that???s why groups like ours exist. We will investigate and give you answers. We never charge for our services, we are a nonprofit group. All team members volunteer and give their time for free. All team members have annual criminal background checks. Most paranormal events can be explained and we have the experience to resolve them. Confidentially API will not disclose information to the public about your address, nor any other information that you do not want us to. We understand that there are many people out there who would like for their property or homes to be investigated, but not want to raise attention to it. All information and pictures released by us and on our website, always has and will be, done so with approval. Note API is not affiliated or members of any other paranormal group or society, we are an independent research team, and our goal is to give our clients answers and help resolve issues due to paranormal activity. Paranormal research is not an exact science, there are many theories out there. API, when doing an investigation, tries to think outside the box while still being grounded on our opinions of evidence. All paranormal researchers have their own way of conducting investigations, no groups or societies can really say there is a right nor wrong way to investigate paranormal activity. Any teams that do so limit themselves from having a complete open mind to the paranormal world. API uses many different types of scientific equipment on our investigations to collect the best evidence possible, in turn we also use our own common sense and own personal experiences. Having an empathic psychic on our team also allows us to have direct communication with spirits or ghosts we find during our investigations. At the same time we are not discrediting any other paranormal research teams that wants to be part of a paranormal group or society, API lets the evidence we collect on our investigations speak for us.

5 Spooky and Haunted Places in West Virginia
voices.yahoo.com/5-spooky-haunted-places-west-virginia-1569955.html?cat=37
Born of the strife of the Civil War, West Virginia is a state with more than its share of painful places that should make a good home to specters, ghouls and ghosts. From prisons to insane asylums, scenes of murders to places of terrible accidents, here are four places that you can visit to find a hauntingly good time. As a lifelong resident of various parts of West Virginia and a history major in college, these stories are well known to me and I have visited all of these locations. For more information on each follow the links. A ghost hunt in West Virginia should start at the old State Penitentiary in Moundsville. (Visit http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/537097/visiting_the_old_west_virginia_state.html for my article on visiting the prison.) The prison was the site of riots and other disturbances. Perhaps the souls of some former inmates still haunt the cell blocks at this massive stone building. The original electric chair is still there and tourists can get their picture taken in it. Don't worry, I'm sure it has been unplugged. (www.wvpentours.com) Point Pleasant West Virginia is best known as the location of the Mothman. The winged creature made its appearance in town shortly before the collapse of the local bridge over the Ohio River plunged dozens of locals to their deaths in the cold murky water. Whether you are searching for ghosts or other supernatural phenomenon, Point Pleasant is a hot spot you won't want to miss. (www.mothmanlives.com) The Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum / Weston State Hospital is another huge stone building where thousands of tortured souls spent their days. Living in terrible conditions (by today's standards) this is a place where it is logical for those to return after death. (http://www.trans-alleghenylunaticasylum.com) Another location that a ghost hunter shouldn't miss is in the lovely Babcock State Park. The working grist mill on a scenic mountain stream is one of the most widely used scenes in West Virginia travel brochures. But just down from the mill stands cabin #13. Cabin #13 was the site of a grizzly murder. A preacher and his wife stayed there in the 1990's and the wife ended up dead. The husband was convicted of her murder. Apparently he needed her gone to be with his male lover. Hopefully the preacher has a good highlighter so he mark all the verses of the Bible that he missed that resulted in his imprisonment. In any case cabin #13 would be an eerie place to stay in a beautiful park. For more information on visiting Babcock State Park, visit Click www.associatedcontent.com/article/282882/visit_west_virginias_babcock_state.html. For more information on the murder, follow this link: http://www.jacksonville.com/tu-online/apnews/stories/102902/D7MVF0MO1.html. My information on this murder came from news coverage at the time and a conversation with a park employee during my stay. Located in the center of West Virginia lies the small town of Flatwoods. In the 1950s it is rumored that a UFO crashed nearby and shortly thereafter some locals began seeing a monster. Thousands have come to this area over the years to search for the Flatwoods Monster as it is known locally. There is an outlet mall nearby for those not interested in monster hunting. This is a story I have heard numerous times from my Dad and Aunt who were young children when this happened and of big interest to them at the time. For more information follow this link: http://www.ufocasebook.com/Flatwoods.html. Visit my Content Producer page for more articles on West Virginia travel and much more. Though not rumored to be haunted there are also mummies on display in the town of Philippi. Doesn't get much creepier than that!

PI Paranormal Research Team
www.piprt.net/
PI Paranormal Research Team conducts private investigations to explore "abnormal" and "unidentified" events in a home or business. Using common electronics, intuition, experience, and creativity to find the cause of questionable noises and events; in order to bring understanding and remove "the fear of the unknown" Most of the time, the events can be explained as physical events caused by physical means. But sometimes... its paranormal... A spirit that, for what ever reason, has stuck around. This is the fun part for us :) By using various types of equipment and respectful tactics, we try to establish contact with the spirits. using the bits and pieces found in the recorded evidence gives us a starting point to researching history related to the investigation. We do not like to make enemies with things we cant see. We only use respectful tactics during an investigation... "you get more bees with honey".. Respect goes a long way, in both the physical and spiritual planes. Our goal is to take away the fear of the unknown, by providing recorded proof of odd occurrence with in your home. If we do find evidence that a spirit lingers in your house, have comfort in knowing.. Most spiritual activity is neutral or positive. Human nature says.. if you dont understand it.. fear it. We have actually found that a small percentage of hauntings are negative in nature. in those cases, we will find you some one to help guide you. We know that finding out that you live with more people than you thought can be hard to wrap your head around. During, and after the investigation is complete, we are happy to try answer your questions about your experiences. in our travels we have met a lot of people who may also be of some help if we can not. We dont just show up to tell you "yep yer haunted, yall 'ave a good day". we will try to help you with the "so.. what do i do know?" as well.

The Warrenton Paranormal Research Society
www.thewarrentonparanormalresearchsociety.org/
Welcome To Warrenton Paranormal Research SocietyNOTE: Heather Lynn Keesling are the ONLY members of Warrenton Paranormal Research Society with the authority to book an investigation, a media interview, or to arrange a joint investigation with another unit! ??? Therefore, all of our equipment is hand held or on tripods, we do not string cables or use tape on any surfaces . So we???re ghost hunters. ??? The Paranormal Level Ratiings run from 1 - 5 (see below): P-1 - Minimal Activity (Just feelings) P-2 - Active (A few noises, etc.) P-3 - Substantial Activity (EVPs, Footsteps, etc.) P-4 - Haunted (Disembodied Voices, Shadows, Moving Objects) P-5 - Very Haunted (Apparitions, etc.) What we have learned. Probably the first thing we learned was to throw out everything that had been told to us over the years. · Primarily, activity does not just occur at night. There is no ???witching hour???. Activity can and has happened at all hours of the day, or night. In fact, many of the stories we have heard have been about things happening in the morning hours. · Not all 'stories' are fiction. Many are based on fact. Through research, we have found several 'tales' have a foundation of truth in them. · Return visits to a site are sometimes necessary. You don't always find something on the first visit. As we have learned, it is possible to gain a rapport with the entities and they will eventually 'come out to play'. Just when you think the night is not going to be productive something will sneak up behind you and tap you on the shoulder. ALWAYS have a recorder going and a camera ready, even on a walk-through.
